The strongest case for each side
For every contested race and all four issues, the best honest argument each way. Equal space, no endorsement.
Who reviews the next petition
The Secretary of State seat is open just after the office rejected the state's highest-profile citizen petition, and the candidates disagree on how hard petitioning should be.
Two polls, two different races
One August poll had Shoffner ahead by 3. Another had Cotton ahead by 16. The guide gives you both instead of picking one.
Sourced, not spun
Every factual claim is tied to reporting and official records, listed at the back.

Is it partisan?
No. PolitiGeist is independent and makes no endorsement in any race or on any ballot issue. The point is the strongest case for both sides.
What does it cover?
U.S. Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Commissioner of State Lands, the unopposed Attorney General, Treasurer, and Auditor, and Issues 1 through 4. Both Arkansas Supreme Court seats were decided in March, so no judicial race is on this ballot. U.S. House, legislative, and local races aren't included.
Why are some offices unopposed?
No Democrat filed for Attorney General, Treasurer, or Auditor, and the three Republican incumbents drew no opponent. The guide explains what each office does and how the unopposed block may look on your ballot.
