The strongest case for each side
For every race and both state questions, the best honest argument each way. Equal space, no endorsement.
What a straight-party mark skips
It doesn't cover the nine retention questions or the two state questions, and in the Treasurer race there's no Democrat for it to count toward. We show you what to mark by hand.
Where coverage is thin, we say so
Several nominees have almost no published platform. Rather than write a case their campaigns never made, we tell you what's known and where to look.
Sourced, not spun
Every factual claim is tied to reporting and official records, listed at the back.

Is it partisan?
No. PolitiGeist is independent and makes no endorsement in any race, on the retention questions, or on either state question. The point is the strongest case for both sides.
What does it cover?
U.S. Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Commissioner of Labor, Insurance Commissioner, Corporation Commissioner, the nine appellate retention questions, and State Questions 845 and 847. State Auditor and Inspector isn't on the ballot because only one candidate filed. U.S. House, legislative, and local races aren't included.
Does it name the judges up for retention?
The State Election Board's ballot lists retention seats by title, so the guide covers each seat and the case each way, and points you to your sample ballot for each sitting judge's name.
